About Kitchen Specialties
In 1988, Janice and David Abady established Kitchen Specialties for selling and distributing food service equipment to the Richmond Virginia area. The company started by selling pots and pans out of a small home office. As the business began to grow, they saw the opportunity to expand both their territory and their services.
Kitchen Specialties started selling kitchen equipment to other cities and states and added to their services to include restaurant auctions, equipment repair, commercial kitchen layout and design, appraisals, consultations, and leasing.
The Richmond Times Dispatch newspaper has recognized Kitchen Specialties on many occasions due to their success. Great customer service, experience and a very knowledgeable sales staff have been the key factors in the growth of the company.
